Jon Sarta is a Pianist, Composer, Vocalist, and Recording Artist from Clermont, Florida in the greater Orlando area. He is the Director of Music and Liturgy at Resurrection Catholic Church in Winter Garden and has served in Music ministry since 1990. He is best known for lively, inspirational interpretations with an influence of Blues, Gospel and Jazz Piano.
His professional credits include being an on call staff Musician at Walt Disney World since 1989, playing at numerous venues such as; Ragtime Piano on Main Street USA, accompanying at the Hoop De Doo Review Show in Fort Wilderness, Lobby Pianist at the Grand Floridian Hotel, keyboards with the Kids of the Kingdom Band and Pianist/Organist at weddings and corporate events.
Jon’s educational background includes a BA in Fine Arts and Music from Farleigh Dickenson University, two years of post graduate work at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA with a concentration in Arranging and Music Synthesis, and a Masters of Music from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL.
Jon launched MLJ Music; an independent Label in 1995. To date there are 40 released recordings sold worldwide in the Classic Jazz, Instrumental piano music and Catholic/Inspirational genres. His Catholic Music Project series is used in many churches across the United States in smaller parishes who do not have the resources to employ a musician. The nineteenth recording of this series was released in February 2018. He also teaches private lessons in his Clermont, FL studio, online and is available for bookings and concerts.
