Waiting for Guidance
Good Morning!
I have read Oswald Chambers “My Utmost for His Highest” in pieces for many years. This year’s goal is do read it daily. Chambers level of Spirituality is miles above mine’; it can be a difficult read. New Year- new goals- new challenges.
Today’s reflection is on waiting for guidance. How many times have you and I plunged ahead into something and then spent years trying to make it right? Chamber’s example is Peter saying he would die for Jesus and then denying him 3 times at his Passion. For me it was our first purchase of an apartment shortly after getting married with a borrowed down payment. I had no idea that a short year later we would be living in Boston and then managing the property for a distance for the next 20 years. I’m sure you could make your own list pretty easily. So before the next big or even small decision, let’s take moment to see if it is when God wants us to be.
